Cougar Open

Alumni and friends of Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School gather for an entertaining day of golf, beverages, and food at Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada, MI. The 36-hole layout is always in great shape as we enjoy raising funds to support the Cougar Athletic program.

Over 80% of CC students participate in at least one of the 29 athletic programs now offered.  This level of activity would not be possible without significant community support.

There are several ways you can make the 2019 Cougar Open possible:

Businesses large and small, individuals, and families donate at various sponsor levels as a visible display of their recognition of the importance of school athletics.

This is a fun event for all skill levels.  We enjoy a scramble format.  The value each golfer receives for their entry fee is exceptional.  The comradery for the day surpasses any other event you will encounter.

Whether a member of the permanent committee or a day-of-event volunteer, these folks make the Cougar Open run efficiently for our players and sponsors.

We hope you will be one of the 300 Cougar supporters who participate on Monday, September 9, 2019.  Mark the date on your calendar! It’s a Great Day to be a Cougar!

GOLF GENIUS – We are using the “Golf Genius” smartphone app to record team scores on each hole.  Those teams who use Golf Genius to record all 18 holes will have the team entered in a drawing for a future Egypt Valley round of golf. Using the app (Iphone or Android), one member of the team enters the team score for each hole for real time scoring and skins!

Save the date for the Cougar Toss! It will be held Saturday, January 11th, 2020. All the proceeds go to Catholic Central Golf!

New This Year is the Golf Ball Bomber – Air Cannon that shoots a Golf Ball 400+ Yards! $20 Per Person.

Catholic Central High School challenges students to know and love God, seek knowledge and truth, respect the dignity of each person, and contribute to society through leadership and service.

Your participation greatly supports this mission.

As you watch our Catholic Central athletic teams compete this year, take a moment to notice all that you have helped make possible.  Whether it’s the facility, the equipment, the uniforms, the athletic trainers and even the referees, your participation in the Cougar Open helps make it all possible!  The Catholic Central Athletic Department offers twenty nine athletic programs.  This is an astounding number for a school our size, and approximately 80% of our students participate on at least one athletic team.
